Owner and wine buyer Tim Althaus looks back on the days of his youth when the selection of beer and pop wouldn’t combine to equal 50 varieties. While a lot has changed since Herb Althaus bought the Family Beer Store in 1952, the tradition of good old-fashioned customer service, continued through the 70’s and 80’s by Tim’s father Dennis, has always remained a pillar of the business.
